In this new series, we explore the differences in flavour and aroma of Cascade hops grown in different regions of the world. Collaborating with some good friends of ours, we put our heads together to create three stylistically unique beers that showcase the hop variants at their absolute best, and we encourage you to try all three side by side to appreciate the contrast of each. UK Cascade is in collaboration with London’s finest, Five Points, where we drew on their experience for our very first green hop showcase, grown at Hukins Hops in Kent. We used a mixture of heritage grains Chevallier and Maris Otter, and the fresh hops were picked and added to our whirlpool within 3 hours. We’re getting notes of lychee, grapefruit and a resinous finish from those fresh hops.
