This naturally sparkling perry is made from a single rare variety of perry called Hendre Huffcap, grown by our friend Guy Thomson at Lyde Farm near Hereford. Perry pears are a real rainbow of aromatic and flavour sensations, everything from delicate & pretty to brutally tannic. Hendre Huffcap is the very epitome of a pear, everything we love about these fruity divas – fragrant, juicy, sweet & creamily textured. Translucent, hazy lemon in the glass, the smell of ripe pears, honey & hay tumble out of the bottle. In the mouth, it’s all super creamy, concentrated pear fruit to begin with before a gorgeous streak of electric acidity emerges. For a moment it becomes a real study in yuzu lemons and sherbet dib dabs. Quite a ride. Quite a Perry!
